R & W Construction Custom Home Remodeling, Inc.

Cary, Illinois                                                                                                                       (847) 639-7402

Randy & Wendy Franz have been self-employed remodeling contractors since April of 1995.  With Randy coming from an education and background in HVAC and carpentry and Wendy coming from an education and background in accounting and office management, they felt that putting their talents together to open up a remodeling business would be a perfect fit.

In 2002, they became members of NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry to belong to a professional organization through which they would be held accountable to a high set of standards along with gaining access to avenues in which they could continually learn and grow their business.

In 2003, Randy became certified through NARI as a Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler and in 2006, Randy and Wendy both became certified as Certified Remodelers through NARI.  Certification is a very serious, challenging process that Randy and Wendy both feel was well worth their time and effort as it has made them much better business owners and has given them a leg up on the competition when it comes to their continuing education and upheld professionalism.  Every year, to recertify, they have to have proof of continuing education credits along with volunteering projects that have participated in, trade publications that they regularly read, etc.  For more on the information on NARI and the certification process, please visit our NARI page.  Be sure to click on the "videos" link for quick, entertaining, informative videos about NARI.

Joining and being active members of their local, Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce has also helped to grow and market their business tremendously.  There are endless volunteer opportunities through the chamber that they both partake in and in December of 2008, Wendy became a Director on the Cary Grove Chamber Board of Directors.  Randy and Wendy feel it is extremely important to be an active member of their community and feel that through their involvement in the chamber, they have been able to do just that.

Randy and Wendy are passionate about Green Remodeling, The Not So Big® concept and Universal Design (designing a space to be more handicap accessible for people with special needs) and are continually learning about these topics so they can educate their customers about incorporating the concepts into their projects whenever desired/possible.  In 2010, Randy plans to become certified in both Green Remodeling and Universal Design.

Randy and Wendy continue to strive to maintain a high level of integrity, education and professionalism and will always enjoy using their creative and organizational skills to help people get the most for their money while turning their dreams into reality!
